On Sunday March 26, 2017, His Eminence Oswald Cardinal Gracias, the Archbishop of Mumbai, blessed the extension of the Parish Building with an additional three floors, and Rev. Fr. Pedro Camilo Simoes, Provincial, Inaugurated the same in the presence of Pallottine Fathers, other Priests, Religious and a large gathering of the parishioners. This was followed by the con-celebration of Solemn Holy Eucharist presided over by His Eminence Oswald Cardinal Gracias who exhorted the parish community to move from sight to insight knowing that Jesus wished for us a broader horizon leading us onward from Lent to the dawn of Easter.
Later, there was blessing of the much needed new cemetery of the parish by His Eminence Oswald Cardinal Gracias on Aarey road, about 2 km from the Church, in the presence of a host of dignitaries both ecclesiastical and political who were instrumental in obtaining the plot of 2500 sq. meters from the BMC to the parish community for the burial of our dead.
His Eminence thanked the Pallottine Fathers for their great pastoral service rendered in the Archdiocese of Bombay. He conveyed his sense of appreciation and gratitude to the Pallottines.
We appreciate the tireless efforts of Fr. Charles Fernandes, the parish priest and Fr. Beniz Gomes and Fr. Stanislaus, the assistant parish priests and the former assistants, Fr. Paulo Dias and Fr. Francis Mariadas and the parishioners and congratulate them for this great achievement.
