A Promise of Togetherness (1-10 years marital life)
12February 2012 was a memorable day for couples of Good Shepherd Church Sanpada who completed 1 to 10 years of married life as they witnessed a glimpse of their Wedding Day. An event with the theme "A Promise of Togetherness" was organized by the liturgical team along with the guidance of Rev. Fr. Ranjith and his enthusiastic team of organizers. The event began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist when all the eligible couples walked down the aisle in a procession with a flashback of their wedding day. The choir made an impact by singing melodious hymns. An eye-catching backdrop by our creative youth complemented the theme and mesmerized the congregation. During the mass when the couples renewed their vows they were lost in the holy bliss. Further Fr Ranjith felicitated every couple by presenting them a memento of love. After the mass a get together was organized in Good Shepherd Church where red carpet was bestowed in honour of the couples.
The occasion was graced by the kind presence of Mrs. Fatima Martin from Sacred Heart Church, Santacruz. She gave a lovely speech on "Counselling on Marital Life in reference to the Holy Bible" She shared about her successful 29 years of married life and the Do's and Don'ts to be followed in early years of married life. She also highlighted on the platform of Communication amongst husband and wife, the love and bitterness one goes through and how to avoid absurd and irrelevant discussions that hamper ones bonding. She finally concluded with her personal experiences and the way she serves the Lord through her gift of sharing the word of God. Fr Ranjith offered a vote of thanks and felicitated her with a memento. Games were conducted by Sylvia and Michael and they kept everyone actively involved and it was all the more entertaining as everyone participated with great zeal. Finally Fr Ranjith appreciated everyone for their time and participation specially the organizers. Everyone enjoyed a sumptuous meal and was seen interacting, chatting and enjoying themselves.
