The opening of the VIII Provincial Assembly began with a spiritual foundation of: Adoration, Eucharist, Morning Prayer and a Recollection Talk by Very Rev. Fr. Jeremiah Murphy. In the inaugural address the Provincial Rector, emphasized the importance of unity and mission. The appointed secretaries took their place while the moderators for the deliberations were chosen from the forum, committees for other forums were also formed. Provincial Rector’s report was presented, but deliberations were postponed until Day 2. Ascertaining a strong sense of purpose for productive discussions and a spirit of prayer, the day came to a close.
The second day of the VIII Provincial Assembly of the ABVM Province commenced with the morning prayer followed by the Eucharistic celebration. Key discussions for the day included: Presentation of the reports by the Provincial Rector, Bursar, and Mission Secretary succinctly; addressing topics like financial transparency, mission planning, and benefactor engagement. Members emphasized enhancing community life, fostering inclusivity, and improving communication. The need for structured prayer, holistic spiritual growth, and collaborative apostolates were highlighted. Discussions also covered consecrated celibacy, poverty, and obedience, stressing trust, compliance with policies, and inclusivity in formation. The day concluded with adoration and prayer.
